If you want to help your sunflowers grow big and strong, you should start by picking a pot that allows for good drainage and at least 18 inches of space. Then, make sure you give them at least six to eight hours of sunlight a day, but make sure the light isn't too direct. And don't forget to fertilize every two to three weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

This plant is pretty easygoing regarding its soil, but it's still best to avoid planting sunflowers in heavy clay soils. These soils tend to hold onto moisture quite a bit, which can, unfortunately, lead to root rot.

Hi, I'm here to help you get started, and I suggest finding a good planting media like a pot with drainage holes before you get your seeds.

Giant sunflowers absolutely thrive in sunlight, so make sure to give yours at least 6 to 8 hours of it every day to help it grow and flourish!
